Community Equipping Center. Activating you in your gifts and talents!
Assists each individual in walking daily and working in their unique gifts and talents — allowing them to powerfully impact self, family, community, and then the world.
Every person has a divine calling.
Each human being is made with a divine gift and a talent, and their destiny is to work in it. That is not a sentiment attached to the programs — it is the reason there are programs.
Activation is the first word in our name because it is the first thing that has to happen. A person has to find the gift before anyone can equip it. Everything after that is equipping — and equipping takes two things at once. Most programs offer one.
Encouragement, maturity, mentors
Spiritual encouragement and development, emotional maturity, and a community that mentors. Changing patterns is slower work than learning a tool, and nobody does it alone.
Trade skills and work ethic
Physical skill sets across several different areas, and the work ethic that keeps a job once you have one. Taught by people who have done the work for years.
Both at once, in one building, because a person is not divided into parts. That is what we mean by equipping.
A young person can leave school and still not know how to hold a job.
A basic work ethic is not taught in every school. Neither is what it takes to run an adult life — the paperwork, the money, the showing up. Employers feel the gap every time they hire, and the young people feel it worse.
A.I.M. teaches both, and then keeps going: our pre-apprenticeship program prepares a student to step into the union or take a position in the construction trades. We are preparing students to be good employees for any company that wants to hire them.
A proper building, at last.
A.I.M. has been in operation for many years. We are excited to finally have a proper building, and to expand in such a way that we can teach a larger audience.

You can support us in several ways.
Help us finish the building
Funds, materials, or trade labor. The maker space classrooms are what the trades classes are waiting on.
Volunteer what you know
If you have run a crew, kept books, or taught a trade, you already have the thing our students need most.
Line up to hire, later
We are not placing students yet — the classrooms have to be built first. Partner now and you get first look when they are.
We are open every day!

We share the building with the businesses that support us, and all of us work for both A.I.M. and those businesses. The community is welcome at any time.
You do not need an appointment and you do not need to be a member to walk in. Come and see what is happening.
